Tezos Commons has just published the latest issue of its weekly newsletter, The Baking Sheet. Issue #113 focuses on plans for scaling Tezos - perhaps the most important theme of the coming months, ahead of the much-anticipated Ethereum ‘merge’. Among the mechanisms that can be employed to improve scalability is sidechains, a Layer 2 solution designed to solve bandwidth issues.
This week’s issue of The Baking Sheet features an interview with Daniel Hines of , whose team has just developed Deku - the the first sidechain to go live on Tezos. In the interview, Hines explains what Deku is, why it’s needed, and why the Marigold decided to use ‘proof of authority’ for Deku rather than Proof-of-Stake.
Also covered in this week’s newsletter are the Interpop Super Booster Public Sale in support of the recent launch of new trading card game Emergents TCG, and a roundup of other news within the Tezos ecosystem.
