NFTs have taken the crypto world by storm. Though the potential use cases for NFTs as immutable digital receipts of ownership are vast, as with many great movements, the artists got to it first. Tezos is no exception, with a thriving community of digital artists and collectors on the blockchain, gathered around platforms like Teia, (fx)hash and objkt.
As NFT technology matures, users are requesting additional functionality. One thing that users have been asking for is the ability to add unlockable or exclusive content to particular NFTs. This is now possible with , a new tool on Tezos built by Codecrafting Labs.
Say you’re the creator of an NFT project on Tezos, and you just released an album of your new music as a collection of NFTs. Now say that you would like to give the owners of those NFTs exclusive access to some content that only they can access and view - perhaps a hidden track, some additional album artwork, or even an exclusive ticket to your next show.
One thing that users have been asking for is the ability to add unlockable or exclusive content to particular NFTs. This is now possible with Lockt, a new tool on Tezos built by Codecrafting Labs
With the Lockt tool, you can do this by first visiting lockt.io and syncing your Web3 wallet. Then specify the contract address and token ID(s) of the NFTs that you wish to add unlockable content to; give a name and description to the content to be added, and finally upload the files. Once this is done, you can share the unlockable content web link. Anyone who owns the corresponding NFTs can sync their Web3 wallet upon visiting the link, and access their content.
With Lockt, you don’t even have to be the original creator/minter of the NFT/collection. As long as you have the appropriate information, anyone can add unlockable content to any NFT(s).
