Looking Ahead to Tezos at Art Basel Miami Beach - Opening December 1st image 1

A view of the first ever interactive generative art exhibition at Art Basel Miami Beach, presented by Tezos at last year’s show in 2021.

One of the art world’s biggest events of the year kicks off in just a few days, and Tezos will be in the spotlight, presenting a new exhibition: Performance in Code: Deciphering Value in Generative Art. Created in collaboration with NFT marketplace , Performance in Code will feature the work of three generative artists, Tyler Boswell, DistCollective, and Ivona Tau.

Performance in Code will pull back the curtain on how generative art is created and reveal the rarity value associated with each NFT, immersing visitors in a collaborative art experience - Press Release

Unlike a conventional exhibition, Performance in Code will be an ‘interactive live-minting experience’ with attendees invited to mint their own NFTs from the work, which will be ascribed a ‘rarity score’. As attendees mint more NFTs, the artwork on the digital walls will change in response, evolving in real-time over the three days of the exhibition.

Also at the event, the Tezos ecosystem will be presenting a conversation series, featuring panels co-curated by Serpentine Arts Technologies, which will be held on Friday December 2nd and Saturday December 3rd. Among the topics covered will be discussions about the growing NFT movement, and blockchain’s utility as a creative canvas. The speaker series will be livestreamed on the Tezos YouTube channel and you can view the full schedule here.

Tezos has become a major blockchain in the art world in recent years, thanks to its energy efficiency and low transaction fees. Today, Tezos is home to major NFT platforms such as , objkt.com, and Teia.art. In less than a year, over 1.2 million unique works of generative art have been collected on fxhash alone.
