Tezos at NFT Paris 2024: Recap & Highlights

Teams from Nomadic Labs and Trilitech brought Tezos to builders and partners in one of the world's leading NFT events. Here's a roundup of what happened.

NFT Paris 2024 took place over 23-24th February, attracting a diverse crowd from Tezos enthusiasts, to blockchain experts, and industry pioneers. As proud sponsors, the Nomadic Labs team were joined by representatives from Trilitech, to highlight the vast potential of Tezos to builders, developers, and prospective partners. Tezos highlights during NFT Paris #

The 2024 edition of NFT Paris was a hub for innovation, drawing participants from various sectors to the Grand Palais Éphémère. With over 100 exhibitors and immersive installations, the event provided a platform to explore Tezos’ capabilities for builders, developers, and potential partners. At the Nomadic Labs booth, the team engaged in meaningful discussions, focusing on practical applications and opportunities within the Tezos ecosystem. Among those in attendance was Cédric Roche, Adoption and Support director at Nomadic Labs. His feedback was as follows:

“We were glad to participate in the NFT Paris event - we were delighted to connect with blockchain enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds, all eager to explore the potential of Tezos. It was a pleasure to meet new faces and reconnect with familiar ones from the vibrant Tezos ecosystem.”

During the conference, a series of talks took place on two stages throughout the day. Among those participating was Trilitech’s Head of Community, Vinciane Jones, who joined a panel discussion, “How To Enter Web3 As A 19th Century Collections,” where she discussed art in the Tezos ecosystem.

Spotlight on builders, developers, and partnerships #

NFT Paris facilitated interactions between Tezos enthusiasts and industry professionals, shedding light on projects pushing the boundaries of innovation. Projects leveraging Tezos from across the globe exhibited inspiring work during Paris NFT. The following are a snapshot of what was on display.

Agoria #

Agoria, the French electronic musician played a DJ set at the Musée d’Orsay on Friday Feb 23, and as a leading figure in digital art, presented works developed on the Tezos blockchain. Through the highly poetic and participatory installation Σ Lumina, participants created unique digital works by using their breath, and took them home as Tezos NFTs. Agoria’s Σ Lumina work and DJ set are part of {Le Code d’Orsay}, a month-long exhibition at the Musée d’Orsay and the second project in the one-year partnership between the museum and the Tezos Foundation. Objkt #

Objkt, the largest digital art and collectible marketplace on Tezos, demonstrated unwavering support for creatives in the Tezos community by curating and exhibiting work by artists minting on Tezos during the event. Their display included works by Julien Espagnon, p.i.x.e.l.l.a.r.e.™, Helio Santos, guruguruhyena, Miray Kurtulus, Marta Timmer, Futoji, serminmin, Demon Ego and Elizabedsh. Stables #

Stables, a fantasy horse racing game based on real horse races, was also at the event. To create a unique experience for players, they recreated the beauty and intensity of horse racing in the Web3 world. Stables contains NFTs, which are 3D-rendered representations of real French racing horses (digital twins), which live on the Tezos network.
