Scaling is one of the most pressing priorities for Tezos in the coming months, so much so that Nomadic labs has dubbed 2022 ‘the year of scaling for Tezos’. With the Jakarta and upcoming Kathmandu upgrades aimed partly at preparing the platform for growth, the team at Marigold labs has published a detailed article explaining why scaling matters, and exploring different ways in which it might be achieved.

The article is split into several sections, and goes into detail about various scaling methods, including rollups (in their various flavors) and sidechains. There’s too much technical detail to summarize here but the full article is available to read now on marigold.dev.

And a reminder: If you’re interested in learning more about the various proposed scaling solutions on Tezos, TezDev Paris takes place soon, July 21-23rd. Scaling is just one of the topics that will be covered in a packed schedule, featuring presentations and panels with developers and thought-leaders across the Tezos ecosystem.
