The Tezos Ecosystem Growth Grant (EGG) Web3 incubation program is set up to help APAC teams turn their ideas into reality, through coaching and mentorship across all areas of project development.
Participation in the EGG Web3 Incubator can empower you with more than just financial assistance. You’ll get the chance to be mentored by stellar Web3 leaders, pitch your idea to leading investors and understand how you can launch a successful go-to-market strategy. - TZ APAC
The roughly 3-month incubator program will support teams working in five categories: Web3 gaming/GameFi, DeFi, NFTs, SaaS/Tooling and enterprise blockchain applications.
The pool of mentors is divided into two groups, one of blockchain experts (including Om Malviya, head of Tezos India) and the other of investors. Successful applicants will be given coaching in everything from technical development and pitching to relationship building, hiring, and legal guidance.
A bear market is the best time to build products. Really good companies start building during the winter season. - Julian Low, TZ APAC
In a live stream last month, Julian Low, Director of Business Development, South East Asia at TZ APAC explained that the EGG Incubator was set up as a way to ‘give back to the ecosystem’, by providing a more structured process for Tezos developers looking for funding. The EGG has existed for about a year, and more than 25 teams have been funded so far, including NFT marketplace sphere.art and Xanadu, a Malaysia-based team dedicated to creating new experiences in the Metaverse. The new incubator program is also open to existing grantees.
Applications are open until September 9th, and interested teams can apply for the EGG Web3 Incubator here. The program will begin on September 14th.
